How will YOU define 2020

One thing I have learned the last 5 months is there is a lot we cannot control. We cannot control a global pandemic, we can’t control the weather, we can’t control others’ actions and so on. There is so much out of our control yet we do have control over our attitude. “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind (Romans 12:12)”.

Our attitude effects so much. It effects our outlook, it can effect our decision making, how we treat others and how others see us. If we focus on what we can control then what we can’t control cannot dominate us.

When I look back on 2020, I want to see that was the year I became a stronger partner to my spouse, a more present parent to my kids, the year I catapulted my relationship with Christ and the year I put my phone down to pick up my Bible to focus on what Christ says instead of what everyone on social media says.

I can’t control the outside but I can control the inside. Satan cannot steal my joy nor praise unless I allow him. Paul’s praise literally broke the chains from his wrist and he lead the very man who kept those chains fastened to the Lord (Acts 16:25-40).

Don’t let 2020 define you. How will YOU define 2020?
